Horikita is becoming difficult for me to like after this episode.

Horikitas plan was fool proof, place all your bets on Sudo who almost got expelled twice already, yup solid plan Horikita

Compared to the LN they rushed through the sports festival a little bit. In the LN the moment of Sudo snapping had a lot more build up. But overall I am not unhappy with the anime adaption of the volume, because LN volume 5 is my least favourite volume

Kei is the only person who knows that Ayanokōji controlls everything. But before Hirata they still act as Horikita pulls the strings. If you thing this was stupud wait for the second year to beginn xD Nothing compless going on just Horikita being dumb. They rushed a little to the sport festival but thats the only volume where its ok

I do not know if my information will be 100% accurate, since this is all recollection from my memory. Feel free to correct me, fellow novel readers. During the race between Horikita and the Class C girl, I believe in the novel, she was calling out to Horikita from behind during the race, causing Horikita to look back at her. Everyone would see that Horikita was looking back at her from time-to-time, which would make her look more suspicious if it was brought to the student council. Based on both injuries, the Class C girl's looked worse, which would probably look bad on Horikita's part too. As for the confrontation with Ryuen, I think bringing up the blackmail to the student council would seem like an excuse that she made up because there would be no proof. Unless the conversation was recorded, there wouldn't be a way for her to get out of that situation, considering everything above. There has to be proof. Speculation and listening to only vocal alibis wouldn't be enough to be considered proof. The incident would be something similar to the first season (not sure if that's a stretch). I may have missed some things, but that seems to be all that I recall from memory. Horikita is basically trapped by Ryuen here, and I wish they did that a little better in the anime. It looks like they skipped over key details for the sake of the 12 count episodes. If it were 24 episodes, and they covered everything though, I'd be so happy lol.

Well let’s hope they get into volume 6 soon since it’s gotta be better than your least favorite 😆

Elexis

Not to spoil anything, but volume 7 is my favourite volume overall and I hope they dont butcher this ~.~

Sven Hegenbart

its not that im not a fan of this volume but later volumes are much more important/impactful for the whole story so them getting more eps is better then a perfect adoption of the sport festival

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not the biggest vol 5 fan but what they're doing this season to COTE is a crime. Vol 5 was a HUGE character development volume for Horikitia and Sudo and they ruined it.

In the novel, Horikita doesn't know there is a traitor, and everything Ryuen did was actually hidden very well, not like what shows in the anime.

FreshestAnime

I figured volume 7 must be good when I saw that’s one of the few volumes sold out on rightstuf

FreshestAnime

That makes sense. My reaction would definitely be different if that happened in the anime.
