It was sad, but wholesome.

I like how they handled the classic "love triangle" in a mature way. Sometimes you don't win, but I think that Kamiya and Shikimori will be able to be good friends now.

I feel so bad for Kamiya... but she will find someone. That was such a gut punch right to the feels... I had tears most of the episode.

Really like Kamiya Glad that the whole arc didnt drag on endless and was handled pretty well with out any misunderstanding

This is the kind of drama and progression I've been waiting for in this series. Ngl, the first few episodes had me worried a bit since it felt kinda similar-ish and the novelty of cute and cool gf protecting unlucky bf started to wear off on me. But as the series went on, they started to show more character depth and development. This episode, especially, hit me right in the feels. I am glad, though, that they handled this bit well and it became a one and done instead of making Kamiya a recurring "rival" for Shikimori. It's really sad what happened to her but it's just the way of the world... and I'm glad they're not even remotely considering the harem route for this show.

Surprisingly I didn’t cry, I could feel the sadness but my eyes never leaked. That’s the thing about these anime about high schoolers, if their stories continued into adulthood they would likely find someone eventually.

FreshestAnime

Same. I feel most anime would have made Kamiyas feelings for Izumi and that tension last an entire season.

FreshestAnime

Agreed. I just meme on the harem concept. This series definitely felt like it was missing something earlier just continuing that recurring bit you mentioned. I’m interested in seeing how the rest of it plays out.
