putting the angel on the same tier as the demon guy is really weird. The Demon guy worships Ehit like the humans do. The angel does too, but she is clearly way closer to Ehit than the pieces on the board are, which includes the demons. The demon guy is strong because he has gotten a few ancient magic from clearing labyrinths like Hajime, but the angel doesn't need to do that. Must've forgotten that demon guy ambushed Hajime the first time around (it was literally a surprise attack that put Hajime out of commission), not to mention they just got done fighting 100 of the lava things so they were clearly not in top shape for a fight.

This is why anime vs LN is so frustrating. The amount of info that is missing in the anime leads to confusion. The last labyrinth they were in, they got another god level magic that lets them restore things to a previous time. In the LN they spend time learning how to use this new magic while resting at Myu's house. Yue uses it to restore the wounds the demon general had from Hajime. Shea uses it to restore her body to the state it was before petrification. I honestly feel with this particular series the anime rewards the LN readers and punishes the anime onlys because of how much info is lacking.

1 thing I am disappointed about this show is the details. Although I did read the LN, the anime still leave a lot unexplained/willing the audiences (who may/ not read the LN before) to understand whats happening. Here are some missing parts: (NO spoilers) 1. about the Iron ball stuff Shea using, it's an application of gravity magic they obtained in the 2nd Labyrinth. Lighten the weight when using and reverse the effect when hit on enemy. 2. That magic-absorbing turtle also appeared in S1 with the red-hair demon, the limitation is also shown: only able to abosrb one type of magic at a time. Therefore Yue cast five different types at once. 3. Yue as we know has rapid regenation (that's why she is nearly immortal) therefore her fight style is more aggressive in a way that she didn't really care about getting hit. This became her bad habit of receiving every hit instead of trying to dodge. 4. In the LN Yue did try to stop the demon leader from escape, I don't know why they didn't anime it. In fact the demon army try hard to cover so that the leader can escape. The bad habit mentioned above (not used to dodge attacks) is also the reason why she is bad at chasing the leader when facing massive attacks from the army. She is strong, but it's still 1 vs all.

true. that was my problem with the first season. I thought it was ok but not that good of an anime. Heard the LN is great, read it and I have to say amazing. I do think season 2 is better than 1 but it's true that a lot of info is still missing

one thing about her heal it works as long as Yue has Magic

Not sure why they constantly fail to properly adapt the LN... read the LN, take out some of the exposition and fluff, produce the rest without leaving out large chunks and leaving anime-onlys confused... seriously could have been a great anime, but instead this is what we get lol.. Such a shame.

FreshestAnime

Yeah it’s why this series is fun and enjoyable, but just misses the mark for the depth and developmental (though there is some at time) that I want in a series. They don’t take the time to explain things and just drop them on us expecting us to know.

FreshestAnime

Yup. It’s one of my biggest issues with Arifureta. They don’t explain things. More depth is needed for this world and they tend to gloss over things.

Every time I see the teacher in this anime I think of Maple from Bofuri.
