ep 20 really got to me because my relationship with my dad was so similar to Lutz's, our personalities were both similar and different enough to cause conflict even though we cared for each other.

Base on the WN, Lutz didn't expalin to them what exactly he's doing, so Deed worries that Lutz may not acheive anything no matter how hard he tries. That's why he kept stoping him, and he granted as soon as he knows Benno wants Lutz to Inherited the store. This episode feels weird as they cut a lot of content.

So based on your reaction these episodes I feel it's worth pointing out a piece of content you've missed from the second episode of season 2. In the after credits chibi short of this episode Benno reveals that Ferdinand (Head priest) should be around 22 or 23 according to his estimates. Which shocks Myne as she believed him to be in his thirties.

Well I think the novel is more nuanced these two episodes were good. The starbind festivals implications were completely skipped which I think is a shame. As for the festival itself it's about showing that you can protect your new wife. I always got the feeling that's Lutz's family felt like there must be some trick. Remember both Myne and Lutz were not informing their families about their money. Myne's finds out around the time with hair stick. But no event like that happens for Lutz. They may have been even more suspicious if that was the case. Then the man jumps and brings a low level employee with him on a business trip? It's like if the CEO of amazon was like part time warehouse employee I need you for this important business trip! Let us travel through the middle east and set up a new branch. Any one would be suspicious of something like that except a kid.
