So, some lore around the name “is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon.” The original title for the light novel was supposed to be “Familia Myth”, but the editors at the publishing company thought that wasn’t “catchy enough.” Because of this, they forced Omori to turn the series far more lighthearted and ecchi than he originally wanted; however, Danmachi obviously becomes very, very successful letting Omori have much larger say in the direction of the series. Later volumes become very dark and gritty like they originally wanted the series to be like.

There is also a one season sidestory anime, that is on the same timeline as Danmachi Season1, with Wallenstein as the main character. Also Freya is associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, gold.
