Also Jefferson set the groundwork for the abolition of slavery, and wanted to ban slavery outright at the beginning of the US existence, but it was impossible at the time if they were going to remain unified to defeat the British. Ironic that prejudice is an opinion based on a persons membership in a group. The villain was prejudice against Ted Roosevelt and Abe Lincoln (called them slave owners and oppressors) because they were on the same monument as Washington and Jefferson.
