Addressing the Hot water on the dog point. One episode 1 stated that it does not need to be boiling just hot. Like a cup of coffee or bath water. the earlier jokes were that the Tendos or anyone who are new to the curse just set the kettles to boiling/Scalding. Also Ranma was heating the water so it is safe to assume that he would have also used it for his own change back so that is why it is not a big deal for Ranma to pour the water on the dog.
