It should be noted that what Tatsuya was planning to do here - drop a Material Burst on the Steeplechase course - is the Yotsuba Family's greatest fear and why the family wants to remove him from being a magician. Even if his goal is to save every student at the Nine School competition, he's being a loose cannon and it's the beginning of him sliding down the slippery slope of using Material Burst to solve every one of his problems - which could lead to the eventual destruction of the entire world. At the very least, if you remember previous episodes, it plays into the media's hands and their critique of Tatsuya using Material Burst as such. It should also be noted that Miyuki stepping in and threatening to shut Tatsuya down, even at the risk of her not being able to use magic at all in the future, is her purpose as Tatsuya's "gatekeeper". If you remember back to the Reminiscence Arc, this is why Miyuki was designated to be the only person Tatsuya has any strong feelings for. Tatsuya's one and only job is to protect Miyuki - anything else is above and beyond the call of his duties and Miyuki has the right to tell him "no". By allowing Tatsuya to continue on with his plans puts both of them in danger and risks Tatsuya not being able to protect Miyuki anymore.

He CAN'T destroy the world tho, because Miyuki would die if he did. Which is likely that if Miyuki would somehow end up dying, Tatsuya would likely decree that a world w/o her has 0 right to exist, and nuke the entire planet by converting Earth's mass into energy, or detonating the sun, either one will effectively erase everything instantly or almost instantly

Miyuki's reasoning is simple. She thinks Tatsuya's being nosy. If you want more details, then as Tatsuya's "master/lord", she doesn't want Tatsuya to have to take on any more burdens or responsibilities. Tatsuya's excuse of firing a Material Burst and blaming it on a weapon malfunction/hardliner attack will only work on the public, but all of the authoritative figures with access to Tatsuya's information will instantly know it's him and punish him for it. Miyuki simply just doesn't want that for Tatsuya, to her Tatsuya's wellbeing is worth more than the wellbeing of the Steeplechase contestants. Also all of the tired sh*t as well, but I think the other reasons were more important hidden reasons. Bald Guy was SO cool, and very scary as well lol. All his master was saying was that if they tried to make the dolls go berserk the limiter you’ve been trashing would activate and they would be sealed, meaning no damage could actually be done to the students. At the end though he said that since the parasites come from a different world the seals could end up not working and the parasites would fuel off the students emotions/thoughts.
