The book she read on the train was called Metronome in Love, it’s not a real book, it’s the book Utaha writes in the show, although there is a spinoff of Saekano with the name where Utaha is the main heroine.

Agreed, if someone in real life acted as tsundere as the blonde, she would just be cringe. Tsundere is just shy taken to an extreme though, and simply being shy can be cute, again depending on how shy they are and how they express that shyness.

Just to add, while the "Metronome in Love" light novel in Saekano is not a real light novel, it is loosely based on "White Album 2" which is a visual novel (also has an anime but only covers the Introductory Chapter of the VN) written by the same author of Saekano (Fumiaki Maruto). Also, the characters shown in episode 4 about Metronome in Love also had the same voice actors as the protag and 1 heroine from White Album 2, which is a pretty nice reference. I doubt White Album 2 will ever win a poll here in patreon since it's not popular to anime fans (the VN is highly rated tho) and only covers the 1st arc of the story. But if you get curious in the future it is a really good romance anime and would definitely recommend it.
