I do really like how Toranaga plays politics and war while also sticking to his already explained tactics. Remember? Always let your enemies make the first move and wait for a mistake, while ishida thinks that he made the right move by killing off the one nay sayer, he also weakend the forces of the regeant council. Also idk if someone mentioned it or not but Toranaga in the book/show is supposed to be Tokugawa Ieyasu thats why it is fictional historical.
