Dear Diary 05: The spice must flow (Patreon)

Life
Had a lovely time in bed this week.. A stomach bug took a fancy to me so I spent 3 days in bed like a sick sack of taters =<.. But hey, I finally watched the new Dune movie.. So.. That’s something right? Which, in all honesty.. Was.. Okay.. I guess.. I played all the Dune RTS games (As I never got the adventure ones running) and watched the original movie a long time ago as well. Got the mini series around here somewhere but never got to it..

My main issue with the movie was that it’s.. Different.. Which, for an autist.. Is difficult to accept. But as I watched more of it, I have to say that I had a good time. I’m not sure if it’s a good movie or a good Dune adaptation, but I had fun with it at least. It’s main (non-autistic issues) is that it is slow as fuck though. While you do get to learn more about the Atreides, the world and the characters. It’s just painfully slow and by the end of the movie, nothing much happened.. Yes, technically a bunch of shit happened, but as for Paul (the main character).. He is basically at the start of his story.. So, myea.. You kinda get blueballed on that part.. =<.. But man, I love all the world.. The buildings, the machines, it’s all very cool and unique and you can kinda see how these things were thought up so long ago.. So yea, maybe give it a watch ^^

Oh, and because I got sick the day before my friend was supposed to come over that didn’t go through either.. And now my dumb ass country is in another lockdown again so even if he does come over now (as he’s going to help me make a ventilation system for my resin printring room) it won’t fucking matter cause the store we need to go to is closed cause of the lockdown.. Fun fucking times =D.. I was also thinking of making a DIY printer enclosure for my FDM printer.. But I need 2 small IKEA tables for that and they’re closed now too!.. Fun.. Fucking.. Times.. T.T

I even removed the prints from the buildplate and drained the vat.. I was all ready for it =<.. Oh well.. At least the prints are off the buildplate and the tank is clean.. I guess that’s something..

So.. Uhm.. Yea.. I’m kinda burning out again.. I’m at the point where it takes a lot of energy to even get started.. And when I do get started.. It doesn’t take much for me to just fall into despair and give up.. I made some minor improvements to the dev tool.. But when I tried working on adding the dolls.. There was too much struggle and I crashed.. When I got back to it again, I decided it might be better to work on something else instead so I tried adding the scene tools from the old dev tool. But I couldn’t even get to it because I got distracted by the room interactions being on top of my dev buttons.. Even though they’re on a lower Z order.. And somehow there’s a screen on the master layer (which is below the screen layer) that manages to be on top of the room interactions.. Despite being lower in the Z order.. So.. I just don’t fucking know anymore.. Just end me T.T

Blender
Remade the tutorial and decided to not give a fuck about the realism of this dumbass donut since I have 0 donut experience (never had one myself, and I’ve only seen one in real life when my friend ate one).. So I decided to pay more attention to the “tutorial” part and less to the “donut” part :P

Still no movement here.. Sad times.. Dunno what I’ve got planned for this week tbh.. Aside from Christmas with the family.. In one way or another.. Originally it was supposed to be at my sister, but we can’t go with the entire family, cause my other sister would bring her boyfriend and 5 kids.. And we’re only “allowed” to have 4 people over due to the new lockdown.. So not sure how we’ll be doing that now..

Getting back to work talk though.. I really don’t know what I want to do.. I might try the scene tool again and ignore the dumbass room interaction layer issue for now.. Maybe another attempt at dolls.. But right now.. I’m just too beat down by Renpy to even think of it.. So I might just end up doing a bunch of Blender stuffs, if that doesn’t kick my ass.. I’m in a great place right now.. T.T

Uhm, yea.. That’s it I guess.. Maybe I’ll print something? Or finish up the last prints, as they still need their supports removed and final UV treatment.. I dunno.. We’ll see I guess..
