Dear Diary 01: The first of many (I hope) (Patreon)

So, here’s the first “life report” post and I think I’ll be naming them “Dear Diary”. Because, like I mentioned in my last post, it kinda reminds of a diary/journal. I haven’t really settled on a format yet but so far I’ve been thinking of keeping the old categories: Work, Creative, Life. I’ll also be keeping the to-do list (What’s next?) and hopefully that will shrink over time. But it’ll give you an idea of what I might be up to in the future.

Well, I managed to do a stream.. A day late.. But a stream was had, so it’s a start =D. Haven’t really done much outside of the stream though.. T.T.. But during the stream I did manage to lay the groundwork for dialog insertion. It’s now possible to load a text file and with the help of my old converter it magically becomes working dialog ^^. Just need to allow for jumping to that dialog, and really, any label..

The annoying thing though.. Other labels exist.. Labels you shouldn’t be allowed to jump to.. So I’ll have to figure out a way to filter jumpable labels.. Probably by only checking certain files or something.. I’ll also need to make it so the errors don’t grey screen and tell Newman properly what’s wrong, instead of grey screening with some random message he won’t understand. Not sure how I’ll go about that though.. Since I’ll have to account for all possible ways to fuck up.. xD

Creative
I’m resin printing again =D. Printed some dwarf boys just fine.. But then when I printed Yuria (from Dark Souls 3) it seems there was some stress going on with the bottom of her dress. Might be because that bit is “hollow” (can’t find a better way to describe it), basically creating a big bucket and that’s a big nono in resin printing. If I decide to ever print her again I might do my own supports and print her upside down.

Life
Bought a sun lamp, since I don’t usually go out much and my current sleep schedule covers all of the time the sun’s up.. Not really noticing much of a difference, but we’ll see.. Might be one of those things I don’t notice myself or something that takes more time, but it’s something I guess?

A lovely new factor of stress this week has been my lovely new solar panels. The company I rent from had some kind of deal going that for a small increase in rent they’ll throw some solar panels on the roof. Okay, fine, sounds alright, the rent increase should be less than the money earned from the panels.. But then they actually came to put them down and.. Fuck me.. The electrician might as well have been a mentally disabled monkey.. He couldn’t have done a worse and lazy job.. In the attic the wires going through the middle of the room, they’re bolted to the floor, but fuck me, at least run them across the alls or something.. And then instead of going down through a wall, he just had it come down in the corner of the room.. And not like a proper solid pipe, attached to the wall.. Nono.. It’s just bungling in the corner.. It has some protection around it, but this is by far the shoddiest dumbass shit I’ve ever seen.. So now I have to call up the company I rent from to yell at them for hiring monkeys..

On a more positive note though, I’ve been playing a bunch of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous over the weeks and it’s a blast =3. Played it a bit on release but took a break as there were some bugs that they only recently squashed. And I’m just loving the gameplay and writing (the header image of this post is from the game ^^), especially (most of) the characters are just lovely.. Though it has been a struggle at times to focus on reading it all.. As my focus has been all over the place T.T

So, nothing removed from the list yet, as the BenX work was only part of one of the items and the item isn’t fully finished yet =<.. And while I still didn’t do much work, I did manage to stream (late) and write a post (On time for once, yay =D).. So that’s something at least ^^.. Here’s hoping that I can manage to keep on schedule and that work slowly increases as well =3
