I just wanted to give a quick update on what happened in the last 2 weeks:

CPU/Memory timings were improved to be more like a real PSX. We had a discussion about it in the Mister Discord channel and Dave'sGameRoomYT made a comparison of the result using Gran turismo. You can find it here:

To further improve the speed for games with slowdowns and framedrops, I added a experimental data cache. You can activate it in the debug options in OSD and it will result in 0-50% more FPS, depending on the game. You can find some comparison shots here:

Another evening in the Mister Discord and a user asked about a widescreen feature and pinged Laxer as he talked about it in the past. Laxer told us what needs to be done in the GTE to fake the game with different Field of View and aspect ratio and shortly after the Widescreen mode was born! Not all games will support it, but if, it looks really nice. You can see the results here:

Zakk implemented Rumble in the HPS und fixed the controller code. It only works for some controllers and not all games yet, but a very important start. We will get the full functionality when the dualshock controller is completly supported.

I also did some optimizations reducing the logic size of the MDEC by more than 50%.This should allow for faster builds and more space for functionality and bugfixes.

Additionally, there have been more than 10 bugfixes for crashes, hangs and graphical glitches.

Some of the fixed games are:

- Crash Bandicoot 1-3

- Jumping Flash 2

- Persona 2

- Monkey Hero

- Planet of the Apes

- Wild Arms

Thanks for your support and until next update,

Have fun!

I'm always amazed at how quickly you've brought this thing along. Great job by everyone involved.

Great work, Gradius 2 is perfect, as is In The Hunt. PlayStation had some great 2D shooters. Thanks again for all the effort.
