A new release of the GBA2P core is available on the Github page:

https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/GBA_MiSTer/tree/GBA2P/releases

Changes:

- You can now select to view not only vertical and horizontal splitscreen, but also choose exclusive Screen1 or Screen2. This was requested for games that share the screen.

- Audio mixing is now available. You can choose to either output only core 1, only core 2 or both mixed. Also you can set it to output a Stereo to Mono mixed core 1 on the left output and core 2 on the right output.

With this release I will end the work on the GBA2P core for now. I know there are still some games that are not supported and some options that might be useful and can be added. However, all the popular games can be played together and I feel like other things are more important for now.

I have two smaller projects that I want to tackle next.

First is a Cheat Engine for Lynx. Rimsky prepared a special package with the MiSTer Cheat format on my request. It's already some months since he did and it's not only fair to do that now, it will also make this core more complete.

The second little project is a splitscreen gameboy core. I have so much fun playing the GBA games in multiplayer and Gameboy has even more multiplayer games. Also the serial communication is already working, as Rattboi has proven two years ago, so there is no reason to skip it.

Have fun!

This is so awesome! The MiSTer really is the gift that keeps on giving. Thanks for all the hard work you put into the project. Do you think it would be possible to have the video for one GBA screen coming out of the I/O board and 2nd screen out of the HDMI? Just curious I know all of this stuff is hard work.

Since your going back to the GB core, people have asked me if there is any way to get SNAC support with a NES or SNES controller. If this is possible, please take a look at it. Love the GBA2P idea. I can't wait to try it with some people.

Handling just the DPAD and buttons would most likely be possible, but not sure that I'm the right one for that. I don't got the hardware and haven't looked at SNAC at all yet.

This seems to be a very common request. I might look if it's possible to stuff at least 1 framebuffer inside to have VGA out in parallel. Can't say for sure yet, could be i cannot build the FPGA at all with it, it's already really full.
