Nice, never heard it before either. I always assumed she'd do the Shinee Palette sometime soonish as it is too enticingly in her lane and there is so much more than just the cover.

This incredible heartfelt live performance was actually an unscheduled tribute in Memorium for Jonghyun of SHINee who passed away merely 7 days before the Christmas eve show. As it really stood out from the rest of the SBS show, with IU and the pianist appearing visibly remorseful, she even sounded somewhat nasal as if she had been singing crying inside. On top of her final expression really left a deep scarring melancholy impression.

I didn’t know that before watching, but it makes so much sense upon reflection. There is a genuine sense of emptiness that feels so incongruous to the Christmas theme that lit up behind her - even the orchestra seemed off, like it should have just been her and the pianist… I felt so odd after. Now I know why…

This stage just makes my heart ache, knowing how difficult it would have been for her to perform this song only after a few days from losing one of her best friends… She was also in the middle of filming My Mister back then so I do see a glimpse of Jian in her eyes.

Modern Times heck yeahh!! One of my favorite is the song "Walk with me Girl/Kid". She collab with a veteran singer Choi Baekho.
