Your new hair looks fabulous! IU said the ending scene of this episode was one of her favourites and we could all understand why when this episode was aired. Cinematography is amazing here :)

There is no ceiling as to how much you get to love IU. She truly is a fabulous actress on top of being one of the best if not the best singer in Kpop for me. It speaks to how much talent she has to convey her thoughts and feelings of something that is in a foreign language to touch your heart and to understand her message. I don't know if there will be another like her.

There’s no ceiling, pretty sure :) also, I’m loving rewatching with someone just getting to be excited about all this for the first time :)

Otherwise re this episode, I think the drama inside this ep and also the staff talk while they’re trying to figure out who the king is — think those are referencing back to Jingoo’s previous dramas, The Crowned Clown and the one he did when he was a lot younger …forget the name but it was with Kim Soohyun. Especially though, the set and actress and scene etc — that’s all crowned clown :) also, I remember reading in an interview with either the Hong sisters or the director — at least some key threads of the whole production were really developed intentionally around IU, trying to weave her into it. They weren’t going to film it if she didn’t agree to join, bec of how expensive everything they wanted for the sets would be to develop. So for ex, the fireflies, I’ve always wondered if this was one of those elements. They make me think to her song Through the night. Seems too obvious to be a coincidence. Also, just the way you described IU’s decision to keep Manwol as a very smart/aware character, it feels right. I bet they all wanted her to be like that from the beginning? It’s why they felt like they needed IU to be able to sell (‘sell’ their vision of) the production probably? (Sorry for the clunky writing…!)
