If I remember correctly a fan asked Taemin to wear the suit that’s why that one stage is different 🥰

If I was going to show someone a video of Taemin that represents everything he is, it would be Criminal. It's a banger, and I think it best represents who he is as he had so much influence on the song, the lyrics, the video, the outfits.

I think Taemin does a really remarkable job of tweaking the character he is portraying for each performance. I remember seeing a tweet back in Atlantis era comparing his dancing in each stage with the different outfits (specifically the purple "prince" outfit and the casual jeans/t-shirt outfit), and pointing out how his dancing always subtly reflects the differences in his appearance. He moved in ways that were more upright and regal in the purple outfit, compared to his air of playfulness in the dressed-down stage. And as we know, Taemin's core belief about dance is that it is meant to tell a story and portray a character. The fact that he makes subtly different motivational choices - sometimes in the choreo itself, but most often just in the way he moves through it - is one of the things that showcases his absolute mastery of his style of dance.

For introducing Taepop... always a difficult choice! I think if the goal is to appeal to people who like western pop, Press Your Number is a safe choice. It was written by Bruno Mars and definitely has that radio-friendly vibe, but with the performance aspect it's still undeniably "Taemin." For the quintessential Taemin experience though, excluding Move which you've already shown your family, I'd just say you can't go wrong with NGDA 1 or 2. Personally, I also showed my dad that long clip from Taem's T1101etcetc concert that started with Holy Water and ended with Sexuality, which he was pretty impressed with (especially since he let me ramble on about all the symbolism and context for each song throughout it lol).
