January 2024 Wallpaper (Patreon)

First wallpaper of the new year! It's another illustration with the witch trio I've been drawing lately. Their designs are still changing. I seem to keep drawing them with food; I like putting them in cozy situations, plus food is fun to draw.

The composition is based on Paolo Uccello's St. George and the Dragon, which was probably also the inspiration for John Tenniel's illustration of the Jabberwock in Through the Looking-Glass. I love Uccello's funky style. I got to see St. George and some of his other paintings at the National Gallery in London some years back and spent a long time staring at them.
