December 2023 Wallpaper (Patreon)

I asked my kid what I should draw for this month's wallpaper. He said, "Cats riding giant fire-breathing snowmen." I told him I couldn't draw cats every month like he wants me to, but I could draw the characters from my old strip Narbonic. I was planning to add an army of fire-breathing snowmen, but it was hard to make room for all the individual jets of flame and I got sidetracked designing different types of body-horror-themed snow creatures. Ultimately, I ended up with the Narbonic characters riding a giant not-visibly-fire-breathing snowman, with one (1) fire-breathing snowman and a lot of non-fire-breathing snowmen in the background. Which was not the brief I was given at all.

I should've listened to my kid from the start. People always want to see cats.
