Hello, Patrons! This month I went to Mexico for the first time to visit my brother, who lives there now. Among many other things, we went to this amazing restaurant with an exhibit of art by Leonora Carrington, one of my favorite Surrealist artists. This month's wallpaper is a tribute to Carrington and her bizarre, fantastical animals.

If you like Carrington's work, check out her friend Remedios Varo, who has a similar sensibility. And imagine all these Surrealist expatriates fleeing fascism and hanging out in Mexico, baffling people.

You can get this wallpaper, along with a bonus April wallpaper from the archives, here:

And if there are future wallpaper designs you'd like to see, let me know in the comments.

Thanks!

Varo is one of those artists that physicists and astronomers like. My first exposure to her art was at a luncheon talk during an American Association of Physics Teachers meeting. :)

Thank you for the artist recommendations! As far as styles for future wallpapers... Leyendecker? Pyle? N. C. Wyeth?
