Considering all the love this illustration has received, we thought it was only fair to give our supporters some details of went on in the background when working on this piece. :)

One of the first talks I had with Tc was about the layout of the illustration, I thought it would be better to make two separate panels to add a bigger amount of detail and I thought it would be easier to fit all the text at the end. Turns out I just have a thing for people giving me their backs? (You can see it on the initial first draft, above.   I have a thing for drawing people's backs, apparently).

After that, the rest of the process went smoothly with a smaller discussions about what to include on the shelf next to our experimenting couple.  Originally I'd considered going with surgical equipment, but Tc pointed out that most people associate sharp, pointy things with pain and not sensuality , so we thought about almost every possibility:  Makeup?  Too close to 'Kittification'.  Needles? Ouch, no!  Sex toys?  Fun, but better for the bedroom.   Test tubes?  Lacks the Glitch sci-fi tech appeal.  Eventually Tc thought about a lip enhancing system, and as a fan of full, kissable lips, I thought it an reasonably good compromise.

Digital colouring came next, and always eats up a lot of time, having to work out light sources and shading, adjusting them and flicking back and forth until I'm happy with the results.

The dialogue was a fun element for me to play with, in this case using the different colours and typographies (as well as the arrows for the dialogue bubbles) to express and contrast the personalities between the two.  Cool white and dark blue for the precise, clinical nature of Rocío, and bright pink for the newly Bimbofied nature of the newly converted Tom.

Bonus Track: Tc even made a QR code that we planned to implement on our blonde girl's breast that may give you a hint of where the future drawings are going to be headed. Sadly it didn't translate well to a smaller scale so I switched it for a barcode on her hip, same purpose. ;)

Yes, the QR code should work! - Tc
