I've returned! (Patreon)

Just making a quick, short post here to update everyone that I'm back from my break and I'm starting slow to settle back in and get used to things again. I've planned (ambitious) ideas over this time and ways to make the process a bit more fun to streamline the process of creating everything. 

Originally I believed that I'd be away for about 3 weeks, although unfortunately something came up and I had to be away for another, making it a month. Sorry for that! I tweeted about it, I imagine not everyone knew about it.

I plan to try and finish some projects I have had sitting on the back-burner to "finish a chapter" and consider if I need to start reorganizing my assets again - nothing substantial, but just making models more compatible with each other (in case of reskinning), creating more folders to keep tabs cleaner, updating models with mesh deformation, things like that. I never reach a point of "perfection" in workflow, where everything is 100% optimized or organized, because there's always areas of improvement as things develop.

I want to do more slice-of-life posts. If you haven't come across that term before, it's basically things that happen in ordinary life - I want to do more SFW, because truthfully I've barely done that. At all. It should serve as a pause between posts and an opportunity to develop characters a bit! I've been putting myself down a lot because I've felt behind on character development on top of having a lot of characters, and that I wasn't sure if I'd do it well (although there's also other factors like lack of scenery, and I don't like building). But that's almost a defeatist mindset, and I've dwelled on enough negativity. Big thing is, I don't plan on having those posts up for early access - NSFW, high-effort (or also long-duration) projects will be up for preview just like before. Although SFW and really just anything random I feel like making, I want to be able to post it as soon as it's finished to be more encouraging to things like it!

NSFW will always get more attention than SFW, that's just a given. Even if you want to acknowledge the effort that goes into SFW stuff, there'll be more time spent looking on the NSFW side - and that's fine. It's just how people are. Myself included (yes i'm a person)

I should be online in the Discord a lot more often from this point on, and I can reply to anything if needed. Hoping to get back into the swing of things now, full force.
