In a different post, I mentioned that there were a couple of these that I wanted to revisit because they looked a little empty or unfinished. These are those couple from a few years ago!

I still plan to adjust them a little to better fit how the others in the project look, but I figured I'd document the original versions anyway. Most of what I'd want to do is add more characters or elements to make them feel richer.

I remember distinctly using a Dream Course level editor to help me get the exact shape of the float down. It feels right at home with this project because they're both isometric! Now I think I should add some flourishes to the outer ridge of the float to tie everything together, instead of it just looking like a regular ol' in-game platform.

Kirby's Avalanche is a weird case where ultimately not a whole lot about it is that unique. Of course it's a Puyo Puyo reskin, but as far as other characters and music, it pulls a lot of influence from Kirby's Adventure. That's why some characters from one game's float are in another, to sort of fill the gaps in those games that wouldn't have too much otherwise.

We're getting closer to my first deadline! Now that I have all of the sketches done for the first video, I think I'll go ahead and start some lineart for those next. Originally I wanted to get every last sketch done before rendering, but the clock is ticking so some things have to change!
