For this outing, I'm joined by Doc Inferno for an epic breakdown of the murders commonly linked to Lizzie Borden in Fall River, MA during 1892. Fall River resides in the midst of the Bridgewater Triangle, a major center of high weirdness, so it's unsurprising this saga is peculiar.

What is surprising is the influence both these killings and the modest New England town they occurred have had on pop culture. Lizzy has inspired everything from films to her own coffee. An Aerosmith video was filmed in the surrounding neighborhood while Sharon Osborne's family once resided here. And then there's the Borden house's status as one of the most haunted spots in New England. Suffice to say, a ghost hunter or two has made the pilgrimage.

What's going on here? Is it simply a perfect storm? This another American Gods-like road side attraction/shrine? Has it given birth to some kind of egregoire?

And if that's not enough, Doc and I muse on the rash of axe murders across these United States during the late 19th/early 20th century and how the Pinkerton National Detective Agency may fit in. Who can say no to axe murders and Pinkertons?
