State of the Union 5/5/23: Attempted Assassinations, Bank Runs and Davos' Ultimate Hail Mary (Patreon)

Interesting times as always, right? And most especially, this past week. The alleged attempted assassination of Vladimir Putin is likely what the headlines will end the week on. But May Day, the start of the week, began with the collapse of First Republic. 

This is the third major bank failure of 2023 in these United States. What's more, the loses from these three banks have already exceeded the losses from the 25 financial institutions that collapsed in 2008. Crisis appears to be setting into the US financial system just the situation in Ukraine threatens to draw NATO into a direct confrontation with Russia.
