State of the Union 3/10/23: The Attempted Assassination That Could Bring the War Home... (Patreon)

Physical attacks on the US power grid skyrocketed in 2022. Extremists on the both left and right, to say nothing of foreign actors, have all been suspected. Elsewhere, Russia has experienced increasingly incidents of domestic attacks from Ukrainian forces. The last day of February witnessed a massive drone assault targeting multiple sites, all deep in Russian territory. The next day, Ukrainian forces crossed into Western Russia and carried out attacks on multiple villages. 

The biggest provocation, however, came on the end of the week, It was then the most enigmatic of Russian oligarchs survived an assassination attempt, thanks to the efforts of the FSB. He was the second high profile member among the Orthodox/Monarchist/Traditionalist circles to be targeted, after Dugin. 

But the man targeted was far more than a political strategist. He has been described as Russia's answer to George Soros and for good reason. He has been engaged in efforts to bring destabilization across the Western world for years now. He's origins are every bit as murky as his motives. But not those of his backers. They constitute a powerful, influential group of White Russians who have been following their own agenda for a very long time now. And they have enlisted support from certain circles within these United States, circles that could leave far more than power grid in ashes.
