A high quality chapter. I like that it is intriguing and manages to portray morals in a realistic way. The main character also felt "right" in a way where you believe he is above 30 I think that the story would benefit if you where to include a little bit of exposition, elaborating on how old people get and whether people get less powerful with age. It would help expand on the interdynamic social processes within the guilds and also the views of the main character
