Zorian had to admit he was somewhat surprised at the way the Taramatula family treated him and Zach. They clearly knew about Daimen's family not approving of his relationship with Orissa, and the two of them made a spectacle of themselves upon arrival too. Zorian fully expected them to be wary of them, even unfriendly.

"Seeing how they were back to waiting for Daimen to snap out of it again, Zorian just shrugged and went back to tracking the shapes in the clouds again." It was Zach, who was "tracing outlines in the clouds with his finger" before.

Damian could still be red robe. Maybe Zach was searching for the keys before (remember he lost a part of his memories) and had Damian help him look for the orb in Koth, then Damian went all Red Robe on him. Think it is highly unlikely, but there is still a chance. Also, Zorian training his Inner Mind abilities like the Matriarch? If you thought Zorian was the most powerful(human) mind mage in history, then just wait! I bet he could even process his Simulcruns memories in real time if he gets to the Cyorian Matriarch's level.

'HAHAHA... Obviously! But that's still pretty good...' -me after I read the last line of this chapter. I don't normally talk to myself aloud like a crazy person so that must mean this story is just that good!

i don't know about that one, especially since Veyers is talked about in chapter II. Multithreading brain + grey-hunter-blood-magic-bloodline-stealing really seems like a plan to me. 😎

I suspect many of us have expected Damien to be searching for the artifact too, but I wonder now how adept a mind mage he is, that the family wants him so badly as well. Or if they really did place a sort of partial illusion on him the way the araena do!

Hard to say. I actually didn't take Easter into account when I set the date, and it's not going to make things easier. I'll have to see how my writing goes today and tomorrow, after which I'll decide whether to extend the date or not.
