Like the title says, Mother of Learning: ARC 1 is getting printed editions through Kickstarter, and can be found on the following link:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wraithmarked/motheroflearningarc1

They’re really well-designed hard covers in my opinion, though I’m kind of biased of course. They also come with some cool knick-knacks and there’s possibility of signed copies for weirdoes that want a signature of a weirdo like me.

So yeah, if you’re at all interested in this, click on the provided link and maybe sign up for a reminder poke or something, I don’t know.

Thank you all, including Wraithmarked, who made all of this possible. Never thought I’d see the story printed in a physical edition without me making that my vanity project, but here we are. I don’t know about you, but I’ve very excited to get my hands on one of these. :)

Oooh finally! A physical copy of a beloved book to add to my bookshelf? Sign me up! Will it be able to ship worldwide though?

I’m very excited!

Honestly I'd prefer a leather bound hardcover without any pictures on it. But it also looks very nice. 18th is my birthday, so hopefully I can gift myself something nice. :D

I get you, but Wraithmarked would be horrified at the loss of sales that would result from such a plain cover, lol. Gotta think of my partners in this too!

I was thinking more to an expensive variation like the collectors edition of silmarillion. Well maybe next year we can have anniversary edition, hopefully bundled with the first part of the new story. It is never bad to be overly optimistic about such things.

If you *really* want a leather bound one you could just get one of these and have someone rebind it custom like that. Not sure how much it is but I've seen people do it.

This is absolutely what I have been waiting for, I am super excited

Got a stupid idea for AU omake: "Studious Hearts is a japanese Dating Sim, with absurdly overdeveloped magical system, unreasonably heavy focus on time managememt/educational progression (yes, it does require players to memorize stuff, do math, make correct assumptions based on trivia and basic principles that they are taught), and of course, there are love interests. Main character is a lovable punk Zach, who has to improve his failing grades until midterm exams, impress a girl, become a pro battle mage, and stop the end of the wo- great evil all in one month... and hundreds of replays. But the issue is that the average highschooler finds himself reborn in the body of his classmate, certain Zorian Kazinski..."

Been waiting for a hard copy since first reading MoL. Can’t wait!

EndlessTurtle

Nice, how many books will there be in total?

nobody103

Well, only arc 1 for now. But there should be about 4 total when it's all done. We're still discussing how to divide the last arc.

EndlessTurtle

I guess it's time to free up some space on my bookshelf. Can't wait to see the story in print. Congrats!

Yes, so glad to see that it all worked out well. Definitely be picking myself up a signed copy. Are there any plans in the works in the physical publishing area of things as far a 4 in 1 bundle is concerned or a Collecters Edition or really anything like that? Any plans concerning any other type of official merch that is physical and not digital, like posters, maps, really anything. Just curious if there is any more potential ways to support through something physical that may come to pass in the future.

nobody103

The idea of a bundle with all books is not out of the question, though I can't guarantee anything yet. As for others... well, there will be some physical things accompanying the book campaign as rewards for backers, but there aren't any plans for selling any merch on its own. I do like an idea for a fancy map, admittedly. We'll see. And yeah, things worked out better than I hoped to dream. :)

It splits easily into three arcs, so I don't know how you'd beable to cut it into four with out rewriting it.

nobody103

Neither do I. But the last arc is too damn big for publication as it is. We'll see.

A bit late to the game, here - will the books be glued or sewn?
