New Worldbuilding Post & Absence (Patreon)

Hello faithful patrons! I've written a new worlbuilding post on my wordpress site, for those that care. It can be found in the link above, or here. 

I'm not entirely happy with it but it was getting kind of long and I didn't post anything worldbuilding related in a while so... yeah. 

I think I should post worldbuilding more often, but write shorter posts. And maybe be less ambitious and write about small things like specific magical creatures and such instead of trying to write a comprehensive overview of the entire damn magical system.

Anyway, I also have a small notice for my patrons: I'll be going on a 5-day trip soon and will not be able to interact with people on the internet. So if any of you try to message me and receive no answer... you now know why. Please be patient until I get back home.

Thanks for the post. Question: Will Zorian learn summoning magic? so that when he is out of the time loop he can check if he really is out by being able to connect to the spirit realm?

How does dropping a soul into another body work? I mean it IS possible in your world to steal the bodies of others, but what are the implications? I'm a bit curious. The bag of meat-flesh would reject the soul somewhat, right? Could the body and or soul adapt to each other after a sufficiently long time?

There would be rejection, yes. The body would get progressively sicker and eventually die. If the soul and the body are of the same species, the rejection would *somewhat* mild, meaning that the possessing soul could inhabit it for a while before being forced to find a new host. This time can be extended if the invading soul is a possessor entity (natural or artificial) and therefore specifically designed for possessing foreign bodies. Having two souls in the same body fighting for dominance would greatly hasten the damage. A possessing soul and the body it took control of would never fully harmonize with each other, but it's possible to get them to get along sufficiently well to stop the body from sickening and dying.
