I'm delaying the next chapter for a full week. The next chapter is a little more involved than I though and I didn't plan my time well so there is no way I can finish it on time without messing things up.

So I have a question. While Zorian is trying to get all of this specialist knowledge from experts, shouldn't he get Daimen to teach him whatever he knows? Daimen clearly has a lot of rare, powerful, and valuable knowledge and spells and he is Zorian's brother. Zorian can even start teaching him mind magic or other spells as payment. He already taught him Gate which is super rare and valuable.

You vastly overestimate how friendly and objective Zorian is in regards to his older brother. Unless he feels he has to, he will not 'beg' Daimen for help with anything. It would have to be Daimen who makes the offer, or Zorian would have to know that Daimen has something absolutely crucial for his survival.
