This episode truly is genius. It's not in my personal top 20 episodes but it's definitely brilliant. The way everything comes together in the end is the most clever writing. Stephen Moffat is an unbelievable writer, he takes over as head writer in season 5. Which is one of the best seasons imo. I look forward to you getting there. 🙂

Couple of things about this one: Firstly there are times when characters aren’t looking at the angels but they still don’t move. Why? Well… most of the time we’re still looking at them… Also… I don’t quite know if the ages match up so it may just be a coincidence, but Kathy had a daughter named Sally… Billy later married a woman called Sally… And finally just in case you’d missed it… here in the UK pants are underwear, so when Sally and Larry first meet he is butt naked!

One of the absolute best and, for many, their first experience of Doctor Who. It was the first episode I showed my mother, who then became a Whovian herself. Like you said, the fact that this episode is so amazing despite the lack of a lot of Doctor shows the absolute brilliance of Stephen Moffatt’s writing and Carey Mulligan’s acting.

This one is an absolute classic. Such a standout. I think I heard the Don't Blink speech quoted so many times before I even saw the episode that I had it memorized. And the ending... I think the angels are the only Who villain that I find actually scary, and the idea that those statues are actually everywhere in the real world... Anyways, one of my favorite Tennant episodes for sure

Welcome to wibbly wobbly timey wimey, and the weeping angels. great writing and really considered the one most scariest episodes in doctor who with the weeping angels as villains. Also yes you will need to finish torchwood season 1 before episode 11 of doctor who Also you can start the sarah jane adventures once you finish torchwood Season 1

My cousin posted the cutest picture of her daughter hiding behind the couch, peaking out just enough to watch this episode.

Steven Moffat episodes are my favorite! It's been joked that the Doctor Who fandom is the most afraid fandom. This episode is an example of why.

Gcat

A great reaction to a legendary episode.

One of the best episodes of Doctor who, you could literally show this episode to anyone who hasn't seen it before and they would love it, and a great episode to convince them to start the show lmao also Steven Moffat is my favorite Doctor who writer!

Linda Graham-Tuttle

You asked if "The Angels Have the Phone Box" t-shirt exists. Yes, yes they do. I have one.

Tammy L. Faulkner

This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite episodes of Doctor Who. For sure in my top 10 list. BTW... Have you ever seen the show Broadchurch? If not I highly recommend it. Its a drama/mystery staring David Tennent.

This is definitely a fan favorite episode and with good reason. I absolutely love Sally Sparrow! Even though this wasn't my personal introduction to Doctor Who, this is definitely a good one to start someone off with since you don't really need to have any/much background info to enjoy it.

Weeping Angels are the most terrifying bad guys in ALL of Doctor Who lore. And... I have three of them on my left arm. This was probably the most scary episode I've ever seen.
