Two of my favorite story lines in Once Upon A Time in one episode~ Love the fact that Cinderella originally was and is a very kind-hearted and pure, but they seriously have her holding a shotgun in this version while still being very kind-hearted! Then the fact that Emma started to finally open up and stopped being so afraid of her death, and finally took a huge step towards that future which is now.

I like this episode a lot as well. The small moment with Hook and the kid is soooooo cute! I would probably say this season is the closest to season 1, like storywise, which I really like. I'm glad they went back to more of the Enchanted Forest and other realms for this season, since for a while it's been pretty focused on Storybrooke, or the Underworld version of it. I'm also just a sucker for the costumes, they are so gorgeous! Very much looking forward to continuing the season with you ^^

The Other Shoe- I really love this episode, and while one of my favorite things about the Cinderella centered story back in season one... in The Price of Gold, was that we didn't have the same storyline of Cinderella that we've seen in a number of movie adaptations, I really enjoy the overall storylines from Cinderella that we are given in this episode. Especially with the great twists we're given. Now... I didn't really care for Ashley much in the first episode she was in during season one because I didn't really care too much for the actress playing her... Jesse Schram, and I'm still not sure about the actress who plays her, but in this episode she definitely grows on me and I like her much more. I love the twist to the Cinderella story, making one of the stepsisters kind and good, in spite of the episode first impression of Clorinda. Also... Lady Tremaine is perfect throughout this episode! Very well casted. I also really think it is nice to see Ella fight to protect and save her sister and her fiancé from Lady Tremaine, while she's been believing herself to be the true villain of this story. I enjoy getting to know Clorinda, as well as Lady Tremaine. I wish we could have gotten a little more with the other stepsister, and especially more with Jacob... Clorinda's boyfriend. I love that we also get to see more with Ella's husband, Thomas too. Both is the backstory and in the Storybrooke storyline too. And Alexandra is absolutely adorable. Next... I absolutely love the first scene we see with Killian as he is playing with Ashley's little girl. So, so sweet, and I love seeing Emma watching him, and smiling upon seeing him do so. You can tell that she must be imagining him as a father to a child of their very own should they one day have children together. So adorable. And then... I love seeing Killian teaching Henry how to swordfight, once again continuing to act as a father figure for Emma's son as well. I love that Killian and Henry join Emma in her search for Ashley. And then seeing Killian and Henry be there for Emma to help her find her strength again, especially when Emma is needed to save Ashley's life. So beautiful! Oh, and then of course even much more so... I love the moment between Killian and Emma when she asks him to move in with her. Yay!!!! Such a beautiful and sweet moment. I appreciate that Emma takes Archie's advice to find her will to seek out a future in spite of her impending fate. Sadly, she still doesn't tell Killian the truth about her fate! What gives? But I think Killian is wearing her down. And as for the scene between Emma, Hook, Henry, and the Evil Queen... I really love it and the Evil Queen is brilliant as always, but where was Killian in that conversation? I wish he would have stepped between her and Emma to defend the woman he loves as the Evil Queen is taunting her, but he doesn't. He doesn't talk again until the Queen whisks them away. Nonetheless... like I said above, I love that both Hook and Henry help to encourage Emma to find Ashley without magic, as she when she was a bail bonds woman. And it's funny that Killian still isn't completely sure what that is. Ha! Next, Dopey is no longer a tree at least. We didn't get to see him, but Grumpy mentions so to Emma and Archie that they have found a way to revive him before Emma could. So funny. Grumpy is always great! Also... the reason why we haven't seen Dopey since he was turned into a tree in season five's premiere episode... The Dark Swan, is because the actor who plays Dopey had decided to quit the show for reasons unknown, which is too bad. As for David going to Rumple to make a deal... this really could have been dangerous. I've always wondered if Rumple finding out where Belle was hiding is because David had agreed to this deal, to deliver her his message to her, or if he simply already assumed that Hook was harboring Belle on his ship. But I like that this is Rumple's condition, even though I expected the deal on David's end to be much worse given Rumple's threat. And of course David wasn't going to burn the letter. He wants to know who killed his father, and I can't blame him. I would feel the same way had my father been murdered. Nonetheless... I really love that this storyline is continuing on and that it continues to remains so mysterious. I enjoy the scene showing the brief session between Emma and Archie because it is about helping Emma to let Killian in more. Archie is always so good and knows how to help all those who continue to come to see him. And lastly... I like when Ashley speaks to Killian about him and Emma being good together, and hearing her ask him if they have plans to move further along in their relationship with one another. I love the tender moments between the chaos. Oh... and yes, Gus, who comes with Ella to the ball within the backstory is the same man who had been Billy, the car repairman from seasons one and two. The same guy who is killed by King George in order to try to frame Ruby in season two's episode... Child of the Moon. The actor who plays Billy in the earlier seasons is different than the actor who comes in to play Gus in this episode though. Thank you very much, Jay!!! Sincerely, Heidi
