Love "The Boy Is Mine" duet between Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) in this episode. It is one of my favorite covers that was done on Glee. Amber Riley and Naya Rivera's singing voices are just so great. When it comes to Santana's singing I always thought one of the few downsides to Season 1 of Glee is how little we hear of Santana's singing voice. As a viewer you don't hear her singing voice until Season 1 Episode 15 (which was only her singing background vocals plus a short verse on "Like A Virgin"). Then in this episode we hear her singing voice more because "The Boy Is Mine" is her first duet. Then you hear her vocals just a few more times in some of the remaining episodes of Season 1. At least in future seasons you will be hearing Santana's singing voice a lot more.

Santana and Mercedes singing together is a blessing, both of their voices are fantastic. I also really loved Kurt's storyline this episode, and Roses turn is one of my favorite Kurt solos, the emotion and passion is just amazing. I am so glad you enjoyed this episode! I am excited for you to get to season 2, it's definitely my favorite season

I was wondering when we'd get to this episode(had forgotten which number it was). My favorite song in this episode is when Kurt is singing "Rose's turn" and he gets back to himself again; being the awesome Kurt, that makes him my 2nd favorite after Artie. Love the talk between him and Burt, he is really a great dad. It was sad to see him feel left out like in the last episode, but wierd to see him try to kinda completely change to impress his dad, even when we understand, why he did it. Good that Finn took Rachel to see that guy, so she got some perspective, and nice of her to come back and give him singing lessons, and I love the U2 number they ended the episode with.
