Hi, just recently started to donate to your Patreon. Loving your Doctor Who reactions! Yeah season 2 is much more of a roller coaster than season 1. It benefits from us already knowing who Rose and the Doctor are as characters, so we really get to see them work as a team and not have as many arguments. It’s amazing that every single character in this episode had a moment and it didn’t feel rushed. Also love the implication that Rose still has some Bad Wolf energy inside her. Overall love the start to this season (: looking forward to more.

Fun facts. David Tennant is Scottish, so he was just using his own natural accent. He also does an incredible American accent. The actress playing Queen Victoria is Pauline Collins, who was in a Second Doctor story called The Faceless Ones. Her character, Samantha, was conceived to be one of the Doctor's companions, but she opted out of a long term contract.

Fun Facts 😁 When The Doctor says that he is from township of Balamory he is referencing a childrens television show called Balamory. When Rose makes an attempt to blend as a Wee Scottish Lass she Says "Hoots Mon" which a song. It was interestingly used in a television advert for Maynards Wine Gums when I was wee little nipper. Don’t know much about Torchwood, only from what they’ve said in the show so far and that it exists, but yes, I’ll be adding the show when it’s time :)

I forgot just how much I love this episode, to me it's one of the episodes that truly highlights everything great about this show. Other worlds, wonder, terror, bravery, wit and the doctor not only saving people but also giving people the courage the save themselves.

I thought so too after I finally started s2. I seriously had to pause for a bit while I was binge watching the s1 cause I couldn't imagine another doctor ^_^
