Jay's a good person to watch Doctor Who with. Episodes I thought were fair to middling are better thanks to his enthusiasm.

A small budget episode filled character development. Classic WHO rarely showed the ramifications to companion's friends and family when they're gone, much less the affect on relationships. And the blow back was hard as it almost seemed like Rose used Mickey to make the Doctor jealous, perhaps because Captain Jack is now paying more attention to him than her. But Mickey called her out and I think that was a big moment going forward. On to the two-part finale, one of my favorites of all modern WHO.

I'm in Texas, too. Yes, it's the 9th circle of Hell outside, so I totally get the need for the fan. I love Mickey. Noel Clarke is so hot, and he's right, too. Rose was really selfish just up and leaving him and her mother. This is a great episode for the Doctor (and Christopher Eccleston, who is "fantastic".) Really looking forward to the next one!
