Keep in mind, Jonathan killed at least two people before he was banished to Edom, including a werewolf whose pelt he wanted to give to his father when he was only 8, and a little boy he pushed off a bridge just to see if the fall would kill him. Clary would have only been 8 when he was banished to Edom. So yeah, she really couldn't have done anything.

It's SH, you know there has to be angst. To the worry about things being rushed, remember that 3b was filmed before the cancellation was announced and Season 4 had already been written, so it was always intended to be drawn out. The final episode will be the rushed one as it was done after the cancellation. Great reaction, as usual. You always react the same way I do. Btw, have to tell you, my puppy, Malec (of course) loves you. He watches right along with me!

The episode before Alec was crying saying how sorry he was for not seeing how much Magnus was hurting. Clary and Jace, Simon and Maia, Simon and Izzy, Hell even Luke and Maryse help the other person try to fix what ever is broken, Alec very next episode sweeps it all under the carpet like everything is just peachy. He shouls have been asking what can we do to get you back to yourself Magnus....maybe we can find a way to get your magic back safely...instead it's ....get an apartment....get married....all is great.....NOT.

it is called living in denial.....thats why I am happy that Magnus broke down right infront of him.....now Alec understands the full gravity of the situation and it is impossible for him to attempt to live in denial again.... now he would go into the try and fix it mode.
