The are absolutely wrong! New characters, new events, old characters stories get more complex, & when you think they died then they come back. Like with any show, there’s death and sadness but there’s much more happiness and excitement.

Great reaction. It's not that the show gets worse, it is less consistent and the stories become more complex. Plus it changes as the characters become adults (pretend to become adults).

I agree with the other comments you've gotten so far. To me, the show keeps getting better and the characters get more grown up, complex and interesting.

Remember Elena told Stefan that they'd be together forever...if she chooses. It was interesting that Elena told Damon on the phone in 3x22 that she could only think of "right now" and not "forever."
