This is a solid enough filler episode, but not one of my absolute favourites. I have always thought the 'Angel is jealous' stuff felt a little forced, especially considering last episode it seemed clear enough that he knew Buffy was experiencing some type of PTSD after the Master. The main 'Frankenstein' story is pretty sad, especially with the Mum just being so shattered in her grief that she doesn't even notice how much her remaining son is suffering. This one is a bit of a tougher watch for me these days, because I had a good mate who went through something similar when his sister was killed in a car accident. His parents became so engulfed by grief, and their own drinking to cope with it, that they kinda seemed not to notice their son had started his own 20 year process of drinking himself to death. He finally succeeded a couple of years ago, and had his ashes scattered over his sister's grave so they could be together again. So yeah it's tough watching the Mum in this episode being so oblivious to what's happening with her son. I do at least appreciate this episode trying to tackle a subject like grief and loss, even if it is a bit 'monster of the week'. Speaking of death the actor who played Chris Epps in this episode committed suicide in 2007.
