Thanks for your heartfelt reaction to the finale, Jay. It’s been a journey, for sure and I have loved your reactions to all 3 seasons, having started watching you showon YouTube and then deciding to subscribe to your Patreon. I have watched a lot of excellent shows, but nothing compares with Young Royals, for the sheer quality of the writing, the cinematography, the music choices and especially the acting. Wille and Simon’s story will stay with me for a long time, because of Edvin and Omar. It’s almost impossible to say goodbye, so thank goodness we have the documentary Young Royals Forever to enjoy with you.

typo..that should have said, watching you react to the show on YouTube and then…

Girls Always

Young Royals is definitely the best show ever. It's actually because of this show that I found you on Youtube, Jay. I'm gonna miss watching this with you. I can't wait for Young Royals Forever, even if it is the last time we're watching Edvin and Omar (Wille and Simon) together. I cried so hard during the finale. It's still hard to say goodbye to all of this. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Can't wait for the documentary.

Jay, it was an absolute delight to have you reacting, especially in the full, unedited Patreon version. This show is life changing and it was so heartwarming to watch the ‘full, unedited’ display of your emotions, from despair to exhilaration 😭❤️‍🔥. You are the BEST !

When it comes to the acting, the roles of Wilhelm and Simon could not have been assigned to better actors. Edvin and Omar are simply incredible. Special mention to Sara (Frida Argento), the hardest character to portray convincingly. Her social awkwardness, her mistakes, her inability (unwillingness) to bond, her loneliness - Frida portrayed it all wonderfully. My coup de coeur is for the wonderfully vulnerable, distant, withdrawn, yearning portrayal of Wilhelm by Edvin. The stoic, icy façade coming to life by just a twitch of his nostrils, or the way his eyes let us peek into his soul…

At 39:40 Wilhelm caresses the wood of the window sill where he and Simon first kissed (season 1, episode 2)❤️‍🔥

There are many LGBTQ+ TV series that have been made, but none compare in my view to 'Young Royals' which has been exceptional in storyline and acting, particularly by the two main protagonists. Outstanding performances also from Malte Gardinger and Frida Argento. I love 'Hearstopper' of course, but for slightly different reasons and again, wonderful performances from Kit Connor and Joe Locke. Just to remind ourselves that the wonderful performances of both Omar and Joe were their first experiences at professional acting. As we know, Joe has moved on to do other acting jobs (including his singing skills in musicals) and Omar is concentrating on his singing, For me personally, I would love to see Omar continue with acting mainly because he's so flippin' good at it. The fact that he so good looking also may have something to do with it, but as long as he stays away from horror movies, than I'll watch anything that he gets involved with. Horror movies for me are a definite NO NO!

Just to add Jay, I loved your review and reactions to this show.

I'm so so sorry you're continuing to have problems with onehub :(( I've tried all I can think of but can't figure out the issue 😭 episode 5 should be up on youtube soon, editing it at the moment!

That's exciting for Joe, what musical is he doing???? I need to check that out lol and whatever Omar decides to do and focus on, he's got a lifetime fan in me <3 Thanks for watching :D]

Joe is featured in the musical 'Sweeney Todd' for his first ever Broadway debut. Here is a link to an article praising his performance in the musical. https://www.thepinknews.com/2024/02/01/joe-locke-sweeney-todd-broadway-debut-reviews/

Well I put off watching this finale reaction as long as I could! Partly because I knew how emotional it'd be (I've seen this episode more than half a dozen times and never fail to sob at multiple scenes), and also because I just didn't want it to be over!! Your reactions to this show which I adore have been so wonderful, Jay. I knew despite how many times they tried to dupe us in this finale about Wilmon's fate that you'd remain hopeful til the end - and I couldn't wait for you to get to the payoff !! SUCH a beautiful finale - you're absolutely right, 10/10. No notes!!! Glad you'll be doing the doc too. Sad, again, because it's an ending but I know you'll enjoy it 💜

Great ending and performances, and perfectly understand your reaction to it, so emotional. Love the fact that Wilhelm just did, what made him happy and got support for that, and that Sara and Felice became friends again. Sara turned August down the best way she could, he would get hurt no matter what. Maybe it could work, if August still wants to be king, when he gets things sorted out, and talk to a psycologist about his issues, cause I think, he needs to.
