HQ: This is Mama-Bear. If you are breaking radio silence this early it better be important.

S1: We secured the package, Mama-Bear.

HQ: Copy that. Site Charlie is standing by for transfer.

S1: Sorry Mama-Bear, but I’m … not sure we should deliver the package. Our guest here … is attuned to the  hidden arts.

(Pause.)

HQ: Oh.

(Pause.)

HQ: Oh.

S1: My thoughts exactly Mama-Bear.

HQ: Understood. Stand by for new delivery coordinates. Then you need to re-route to support Strike-Force-Two. They have missed their check in. We suspect Operation: Dawn Bringer is officially off the rails.

S1: Strike-Force-One, acknowledges.

HQ: On that note, have you encountered any unexpected hostile forces?

S1: Yes we have. The “smugglers” turned out to be a group of heavily equipped mercenaries. Mixed nationalities. No markings. Only got a name from an interrogation: Rook Company. They were led by a Russian woman who was aware of the Phantom’s existence and was tasked with the termination of the package. We managed to intervene just in time.

HQ: Understood. What did you do with the Russian mercenary?

S1: We subdued her and … left her for the resistance to find.

HQ: (Sighs.) Understood. Sending new coordinates now. Hurry back. We need to find our girls in Strike-Force-Two. This just got … complicated.

S1: My thoughts exactly Mama-Bear.

(Both women laugh quietly. It’s a bitter sweet victory.)
