Having received a savage kick directly in the crotch, Baram doubles over forward onto Nyx’s extended leg. Tears in her eyes. Screaming in pain. It was over.

Or was it?

Baram hooks her left leg around Nyx’s right shin and wraps her arms around her thick thigh. Then with one powerful thrust of her right leg, Baram springs forward into Nyx’s midsection, sending them both flying toward the pool.

Nyx’s hips hit the edge of the pool first with an audible crack, followed by a splash that drowns out Baram’s desperate screaming

They vanish together in the pool water.
