PLAYBACK --- OPERATION FLYING DUTCHMAN // POST-OP DEBRIEF

(Female) The next few hours proceeded as expected. With the pool deck of the Nightcrawler effectively turned into a party, we danced to the tune of Baram’s top hits streaming full blast into the sound system. We became a little solar system of heavenly bodies orbiting Magnus, the man of the hour.

(Female pauses and takes a deep breath. Her tone turns thoughtful.)

(F) The plan was to get Magnus alone so we could subdue him and have him surrender the intel we needed, and although the woman named Nyx kept her distance … Ruby made a point to stick to Magnus like glue.

(Female chuckles.)

(F) I kept myself busy by the pool and watched Baram get to work on that petty man, leveraging her celebrity status and reminding Ruby she was nothing but lower tier guard dog.

(Male) Baram intentionally provoked the bodyguard?

(Female responds, becoming agitated.)

(F) What else could she do? Whether this would turn out into a full blown orgy with no chance of isolating the target or a bloody battle-royale in the open hinged on Baram being able to antagonize that bitch. Force Magnus to choose one or the other.

(M) Skip the hypotheticals agent. Are you saying Baram lit the fuse?

(Pause.)

(F) Yes.
