CW: Descriptions of gore and vore

The Party of adventurers dove behind a fallen tree, praying to the gods that whatever creature those booming footsteps belonged to hadn't seen them hide. Alas, the footsteps ceased, causing the breath to catch in the throats of each adventurer as they tried to remain as silent as possible.

They'd heard tales of the types of beasts which roamed these gargantuan woods, wasps the size of hawks, squirrels the size of large dogs, and bears growing large enough to swallow a man whole. However, no tale struck more fear into the hearts of men than that of the giants who wandered these woods.

The Giants were known to be bloodthirsty warriors, capable of felling entire platoons of soldiers should one giant so choose. Not to mention just how brutal the stories of those who survive describe. Watching as your fallen soldiers are crushed beneath the heel of these behemoths, leaving a horrid, red paste of what was once your comrade in arms, or perhaps listening to the bloodcurdling screams of a soldier as they're eaten alive.

The imagination wanders when picturing the cruelty these beings could inflict upon a person, and most unfortunate of all for the party was the noise of the beast that echoed through the forest; unmistakable in its sound, and one which chilled the band of adventurers down to their very bones.

"I saw you."

Their blood ran cold. A creature far larger than they were had confirmed their worst fears: they had been too far too slow to avoid detection. The creature trailing them, now undoubtedly one of the Giants of the archtree forests, was standing in wait for the party to exit their hiding place. The cleric gripped his holy symbol shakily as he prayed by some miracle they might survive. The mage gripped their staff, knees trembling as they tried to think of any spell that might allow the three to escape unharmed, but to no avail.

Lastly, the knight trembled in place, his mind telling him to grip his sword and fight, yet his body remained paralyzed in fear. Suddenly, a ground shaking THUD rung out, nearly knocking the adventuring party to their knees as a shadow loomed overhead. The three party members didn't dare look up, as they all knew the truth of what lie above them. Yet, mustering what little courage the Knight had left, their head slowly craned upwards to confirm their suspicions.

Peering over the moss-covered log, staring down at the three was a pair of pink eyes, belonging to a fairly effeminate man of 20 feet tall or so. The smile he wore would normally read as warm, but it did nothing to quell the absolute terror welling up inside all three of them. All courage within the Knight evaporated immediately after the giant let out a small giggle, clearly viewing the three as nothing but insects in comparison to himself.

"I found you~!"
