Realising i actually needed to eat even more than I was after I lost a few pounds had been a game changer. It took me a few days to get things back on track, time during which I felt quite ill for a few days, just really exhausted, shaky, uncoordinated, lethargic... on Friday, after upping my food intake for the previous 3 days, I felt a lot better and stronger and that night I weighed myself.

my hard work had been worthwhile! Having slipped back a couple of pounds to 11 stone 9, I’d hit 12 stone for the first time since getting home! That’s 6 pounds in about 4 days 🥰

i as so excited and so happy, but then on Saturday I think I kind of out-ate myself and I’m not sure there’s ever been so much food packed inside me in my life.

one of the chances I made this week which made a HUGE difference was going from 4 to 6 slices of thickly sliced toast for both breakfast and supper. I noticed that, while right now I never actually feel full - 6 slices at least stops me being actively hungry for a few hours, if I just eat 4 I still feel hungry and within 1-2 hours my belly starts growling again! 

so on Saturday I ate 6 slices for breakfast, then had another massive pasta bake for lunch on which I threw SO much cheese because cheese rocks my world! To quantify how much pasta I’m eating in one sitting it’s the same amount I used to make to last me 2 days, feeling stuffed at the end of both meals! I tried in vain many times to finish the lot in one sitting but about 2/3 was the maximum I could manage. Now I’m eating a little bit more than my previous 2-days-worth-of-pasta (because I sneak a little more in each time!) in one sitting for lunch every day!

I was hungry again a couple of hours later, so I ate a box of noodles, and again a couple after that. (I’m telling you, my appetite right now is RIDICULOUS!) and by the time it got to about 8pm my stomach was rumbling so loudly that Lucy made me have an extra batch of toast before my full batch for supper 🤭

so I had 4 super thick slices, followed by another 6 less than 3 hours later and by the time I went to bed i was absolutely bulging at the gut with all that food in my stomach! And god, my poor stomach had to work all night, churning, groaning, bubbling away. i could feel everything so clearly and by the time I woke up my poor tummy felt exhausted but I felt thicker all over and - after a big breakfast and lunch again - I weighed myself yesterday afternoon...

I’d gained 4 and a half pounds since Friday night!! I couldn’t believe it! Some of that is always probably the mass of food inside me but my love handles have grown substantially again and my body is rounding out nicely. Plus i really love how my belly looks right now!

while I’m not up to making full videos right now I’m going to take some pics of my gut later this weekk, and maybe some video of my body too 💙

And if anyone is feeling particularly generous and wants to buy me lunch... 😇
