Gday Everyone!

With the launch of https://obsidianttrpgtutorials.com/ I've been pondering the purpose and future of the Patreon Vault. All the tutorials are now better off on the website and accessible to everyone. This is something I'm very happy with. It's allowing me to supplement the video tutorials with the written content that if often necessary to deliver a complete tutorial.

That meant the Patreon Vault has been growing cob-webs and it was time for a spring clean (yes it's spring down here!).

With that in mind I have re-purposed the Patreon Vault so that it can now be used as a new Vault Template for people to use. Make sure you are logged into GitHub and then you can download it directly from HERE (or access from HERE). If you are logged into GitHub and still getting 404 errors, pm me your email address.

Once downloaded you can create a new vault from the folder. It should just work out of the box and includes the plugins, snippets and theme.

This is just night 1. So there is still more to do so watch this space.

If you have any feedback though, hit any snags or miss specific content; please let me know.
If you can't access the link, shoot me a PM. There is a really high number of people who have expired invites.

Note: If you are a new supporter, I need to give you access manually. I usually get to it within a day depending on how far away I am from a computer. Watch your email for the invite.

Hey Josh! Absolutely love the vault! I'm definitely one of those people who like to go into the deep-end and just reverse engineering how everything fits into place and stuff! Just an issue with the CLI though. I tried to download the source books and adventure that I currently own. Seeing that it worked well in the command line, I went to check the vault and weirdly the adventure didn't show in it. So I decided to put the same command "ttrpg-convert.exe --index -o dm -c dm-sources.json 5etools-mirror-1.github.io/data --debug" with the --debug in the end. What I found was that the adventure was "excluded" from the extraction. Do you know any workarounds for it? Update: I was able to find a fix for it! Had to read the CLI Documentation to find it 😅

The books and adventures are kept in a separate part of the data and need to be triggered differently using a configuration file. That will be covered in the third video.

G'day Evan, welcome and thanks for your support! I have to add new members manually. That's done now so you should be able to log in.

Hey Tim, sorry I missed this message. I've reset your permissions. Give it a shot and let me know if its not fixed.

Hi Josh. Didn't know where to ask, so I just put it here. I'm having a bit of difficulty with the Initiative Tracker. When I try to add creature, I get the window to search creature by name, but the entire list of suggestions is cut so i only see the first two letters. Do you have a troubleshooting for this?

JPlunkett

This was a bug between the Initiative Tracker and another plugin. I believe this is now fixed so update you plugins and theme.

Tim Rich

Hi just downloaded the template and it doesn't seem to have any of the plugins, snippets, or themes working.

JPlunkett

Are they enabled? Assuming you downloaded the whole vault everything should be working already
