Hello all!

Earlier this year a new asset pack series, Adventure Assets, was born from patron feedback in our annual survey (part 2 of this set released in August). This series was designed to address specific asset needs for creating maps fitting to different adventures and settings developed for 5E. In hindsight, it has also helped serve a difficult role of bringing in a collection of more niche dungeon-like elements that would have otherwise been difficult to find places for in the more typical asset pack series.

Today we have Part 3 of the Adventure Assets series, this time dedicated to the original adventure that launched fifth edition: The Lost Mine of Phandelver. Those of you who have gone through my backlog of WotC maps will know that I've already mapped a majority of the applicable locations from that adventure, but it seemed appropriate to me (and was voted on by poll earlier this year) to "top off" the Phandelver content, particularly in light of the update it received by way of the new adventure released last September, Phandelver and Below.

Adventure Assets 3 includes:

  • An array of specific assets dedicated to the unique items found in the adventure (the glass staff, the black spider's staff, masks from the dragon cultists in Thundertree, etc.)
  • A new set of potions! (I haven't made potions since... 2019?)
  • A new modular wooden bridge coming in multiple widths and lengths, and differentiated shading to indicate a flat vs. curved bridge surface
  • Unique elements from the adventure like a relief sculpture for the shrine to Tymora in Phandelin, a sculpture of a hero from Thundertree, the dead horses blocking the path in the adventure's opening encounter, etc.
  • Due to the "introductory adventure" nature of the module, it also naturally produced what at times feels like a "starter pack" of assets including things like updated scrolls, tankards of ale, campfires, and updated assets for longswords, crossbows, chainmail, etc.
  • And as you'll see previewed above, I took the opportunity this pack presented to make a newly updated version of the Goblin Ambush map (which I had originally taken a swing at back in 2017). It's safe to say I like this newer one a fair bit more and you'll find standard variants of it included within.

Dungeondraft

The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Adventure Assets 3 contains everything therein as an object within the mapmaking program. You'll also find a major chunk of those objects as a colorable counterpart and paths for 'drawing' out seamless versions of the curtains and bridges already included in the base pack.

Welcome aboard! In totality all of the megapacks do constitute the entire asset library. However, the one linked here is *just* the fifteenth one and will therefore only contain the last handful or so. You can visit this link (https://www.patreon.com/posts/dungeondraft-48763187?cid=56217220) to download the others.
