Monument of Howls (Patreon)

Hello all!

Monument of Howls is an original location that I originally developed as I began musing on locations that would be fitting to specific player options like classes, subclasses, etc. This one specifically being born of the spirit of the Path of the Totem Warrior subclass of the Barbarian. 

I generally enjoyed this process of building with specific player types in mind (at least, narratively) and am quite pleased with the result. I'm confident the Monument of Howls will bring a lot of utility to your table and to ensure as much I went ahead and made a few extra variants on top of my typical steps which you'll find in the download below.

What's included in the Download:

• Monument of Howls in high resolution, as previewed above
• An Aflame variant, where ritual fires appear on the two standing pillars and the 'altar' between
• A Ritual variant, where chains dangle from the inner walls and clear signs of bloodshed appear on the 'altar', indicating where past rituals have gone wrong (or right?)
• A Blizzard variant, where a great deal more snow is present as well as a lightly obscuring layer of ongoing snowfall
• An "Unfurnished" variant where I've removed the fallen tree and replaced the broken pillar with a 3rd intact pillar
• A "Barren" variant where only the inner arena area remains and nothing else, providing you with a clean template to build on top of as you wish
• Gridded, gridless, and VTT-Compressed options for all of the above
