Welcome to the ~4th "Annual" Patron Survey~

We have conducted this in 2019, 2020, and 2021 previously--held back about six months or so this time because I wanted to bring it into the timing with our 6 Year Patreon Anniversary! That's right, as of this month we will have hit the benchmark of six years of support on Patreon and as in years prior, I've got some things cooking (on top of all of our regular content) to commemorate the occasion.

The first of which, is the survey linked here (open til March 17)!

Even from just the last survey in 2021 alone, that feedback directly led to:

  • Mandating a minimum of 2 asset pack releases every month
  • Bringing back the WotC related content to one release every month
  • An increased focus and overhaul of our Dungeondraft conversion process
  • Keeping the "lore content" relatively low, focusing on battle-scale content
  • The mega-compilation download links that now every patron uses
  • The creation of the menagerie and other organizational tools
  • A new general trend towards larger scale maps that incorporate assets

So I hope that demonstrates the value of your feedback and what it can do!

The Goal

To more formally gather feedback and input from patrons that will directly allow me to reflect on recent changes and updates as well as influence the trajectory of future content in the year ahead.

The Incentive

While there aren't a ton of questions and the whole thing shouldn't hopefully take you more than a couple of minutes, I genuinely appreciate you spending your time to help give me insight to your wants & needs! As a thank you, after the survey closes all participants will be emailed artwork of a unique character NPC, an accompanying unique top-down token, a statblock for that NPC. Please make sure the email address you enter at the beginning is where you want that to go!

The Outcome

After the survey closes (March 17) I will be compiling the data for analysis and in the case of written responses, reading through each and every one (often times more than once). The data will then be shared back out to all of you alongside my interpretations of the results, confirmations on the things we're doing right, as well as my data-backed reasoning for why anything may be changing or experimented with in response to your input.

Lastly, while these annual surveys are super helpful for getting me an accurate sense of where the community has needs and desires, it is far from the only way of making suggestions or giving feedback. Please feel free to DM me on Patreon, leave a comment on this post, or send me an email anytime you'd like at: info@venatusmaps.com.

Thanks again!
