Winged Sacrarium (Patreon)

Hello all!

Today's map of the Winged Sacrarium was created to be the "otherside" of the portal featured in November's battle map, Scalepeak Summit. If you read through the 1-page Lore PDF included in the Scalepeak post, you'll see reference to the Sacrarium as the plane that our intrepid guardian is protecting from unwanted visitors. 

You however are of course welcome to use this map however you'd like! I don't find myself creating "otherworldly" maps like this one very often (though with how much fun this one was, perhaps I should be), so I took advantage of the opportunity to try and press the issue on what boundaries could be pushed visually to truly communicate the "otherness" of this ream. There is of course the general "void-like" feel to it (not to mention a giant headless dragon statue fading into the ether), but if you look closely you'll see faded distant ruins floating beyond the scene, distant galaxies, and a handful of different "glitch" effects sprinkled throughout as I tried to play with how a plane such as this might render itself to the minds of your players. 

What's Included in the Download:

• The Winged Sacrarium map, as featured above
• A "calm" variant where I've taken away some of the extra visuals in case you like the premise, but want something a little more toned down
• An "unfurnished" void variant in case you like the feel of this generally, but don't need the specificity of a portal and giant dragon statue (or want to build one out yourself using this as a background)
• All of the above with or without grid
• VTT Compressed versions of all JPEGs with -90% file size for easier handling when playing online

Please Note: I'm starting a new precedent with my posts where the featured image will be a low-resolution, watermarked version of the map with the full-resolution files still available as linked ZIPs for patrons (see below). This allows me to mark the post as "public" to make it clear to prospective new patrons what's going on in the post stream while still making sure you all are getting exclusive access to the content you're supporting.
